Get to know me
I work with organisations and initiatives navigating the complexity of forestry, land use and nature finance - particularly when projects move from concept into delivery, investment or scrutiny.
I bring more than 20 years of experience across science, forestry, sustainable development and communication, working at the intersection of land use, markets and real-world decision-making.
I trained in biology and forestry and have spent much of my career in communications, business development or other people-facing roles. For many years, I was the sole editor of a feature magazine for the UK forestry and timber sector, working across the supply chain and translating complex technical, policy and business issues into language that different audiences can actually use.
Since then, I’ve worked across nature-based solutions, ecosystem services and carbon-related projects, supporting both on-the-ground project development and decision-making at organisational and investor level. This has given me a pragmatic perspective shaped by seeing where ambition runs ahead of reality - and where careful design, alignment and delivery really matter.
My work often sits close to nature tech and MRV, helping bridge data, frameworks and real-world use. Clients tend to value my ability to connect perspectives - between ecology, communities, science, business and investment - and to work proactively to structure work, take ownership and keep things moving.
I work across Europe and Latin America and am a co-founder of a Brazilian nature-based solutions company focused on forest conservation projects in the Amazon. I’m fluent in English, Spanish and German, and comfortable working in Brazilian Portuguese.
I work independently but draw on a strong international network across forestry, climate, nature finance and technology, bringing in trusted collaborators where this adds value.
